A diverse farm producing fruit and vegetables, featuring a packhouse, a mango achar factory, and generating rental income. The farm produces a variety of vegetables, mangoes, and litchis on fifty-two hectares of developed irrigated land.
Water supply comes from twelve registered boreholes in continuous use.
The packhouse not only handles produce from the farm itself but also from outgrowers, under supply agreements with several national retail groups. These agreements have been established and maintained over many years. An export programme exists for the litchi crop.
The mango achar factory produces pickled mangoes using both farm-grown and outgrower-supplied produce.
The balance of two hundred hectares consists of virgin bush accessible for drives, walks and running trails. Rental
income of approximately R990,000 per annum is generated from accommodation leased to healthcare workers at two nearby hospitals.
Winters are mild with little to no frost, while summers are hot and humid. The rainy season spans from October to March, with heavy showers typically occurring in December and January. Average annual rainfall is approximately 850 mm.
The topography ranges from hilly to gently undulating plains. Soil types include shallow Glenrosa (30–60 cm deep) and deep red Hutton soils with approximately 35% clay content.
